Position and Responsibilities: Do you love radio, Spanish music and are looking to be a part of the excitement at the biggest events, concerts and dances in Colorado? Become a part of our team today! Denver's best Spanish-language Radio stations are currently seeking a Full Time Promotions Assistant to join our team. This position requires a fully bi-lingual individual who is energetic and possesses the ability to multi-task and is pro-active with their assigned duties in the Promotions Department. Candidates should be eager to learn and take on responsibilities and be accountable for their outcomes. Individuals should be outgoing and professional as the position consists of interactions between departments at our Denver affiliates as well as contact with clients and listeners through local remotes and events. Responsibilities consist of tasks such as assisting in local spot production of promotional announcements and or script writing, assisting talent for live local remotes/events with setup and tear down of tents, distribution of prizes to listeners, interaction with other promotions departments to help with events.

Details: The position requires people who possess some computer skills with a Windows PC environment including MS Office, a reliable self-starter who learns quickly and has good communication skills, and a high level of organization and time management skills with attention to detail. Should be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Bilingual English/Spanish required. They must have a current valid Colorado driver's license and have the availability to work weekends, nights and holidays. The most important requirement is that you must be passionate about the music in our stations and our artists.

Position: Reporter

Details: News-Press & Gazette Co., St. Joseph, Mo., is recruiting to fill a reporting opening in its multimedia newsroom providing content for our two television stations (FOX 26 KNPN and NBC 21 KNPG), daily newspaper (St. Joseph News-Press), website (newspressnow.com) and social media platforms. Applicants' multimedia skills and reporting experience are both valued.

The specific opening calls for a reporter who will cover breaking news and public safety, a highly valued part of the news report. This reporter should expect to give a large focus to stories -- news and features -- that lend themselves to multimedia storytelling. In addition, we seek a well-rounded journalist who can be tasked with covering other local news topics from time to time.
Applicants should expect to use all of the tools of the trade to tell compelling stories focused on our core market about 40 miles north of Kansas City, Missouri. Over time, all reporters in our newsroom become true multimedia journalists as they add to and develop their skills to become equally adept at reporting for TV, print and the web.
We prefer a college degree with a concentration in multimedia journalism and two years of practical experience. Solid college preparation is a plus for recent grads who apply. Candidates from the Midwest are strongly preferred.
Core requirements: commitment to journalism and multimedia news reporting; ability to learn new skills; understanding of journalism ethics, press law and the competitive aspects of daily reporting; and ability to do good work on deadline, for both broadcast and print.

Kansas State University Housing & Dining

Position: Student Photographer/Videographer 

Details: The student photographer/videographer works to create unique, artistic and compelling visual representations of all aspects of Housing and Dining Services, including but not limited to food, students, staff and facilities. The student photographer also will be responsible for editing, formatting and adding keywords to photographs and videos, and will assume full responsibility for maintaining our catalog of images.  
Training will be provided. Photographs and videos become the property of KSU HDS Marketing and Communications, and can be used for brochures, signs, banners, Web content, and for all other Housing and Dining Services marketing materials.

The ideal candidate will have experience with image keywording and metadata, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and posses the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, be a self-starter, have a good work ethic and a positive attitude.  Wage/Salary:  $10/hour
Duties will include:
  • Assist Creative Coordinator with projects as assigned
  • Create and produce various collateral types following branding guidelines
  • Work directly or indirectly with clients on projects

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will be an undergraduate student with strong photography and photo/video editing skills. Experience, knowledge or a willingness to learn editing software is required. Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours a week is required. Full time employment during summer and holiday breaks is encouraged. Some nights and weekends required. (Work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with occasional weekend or evening.)
