Practicum Opportunities

MC385 - Media Practicum is a course that allows students to get experience working in campus media organizations and programs, and receive academic credit. The JDM sequence requires at least two hours of practicum credit, and although the AD and PR sequences don't require practicum credit, both sequences strongly encourage students to become involved in their campus media and communication organizations and have created practicum opportunities. Below are the K-State organizations that offer practicum credit:

Collegian
The campus daily newspaper and its online edition have opportunities for students to create all its media. Experience is available for every newsroom job, including reporters, photographers and editors, as well as in digital media -- videography, social media, information technology -- and advertising sales, design and production.
