A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications

Student Computer Policy

All students are required to provide their own laptops, although our department continues to have high-end computer labs available.

Computer system requirements

See K-State's computer recommendations to meet our minimum requirements.

High-end computer labs

The School will provide high-end computer labs. High-end labs deal with simulation, modeling, rendering or storing large amounts of data that are impractical or too time consuming for the average computer. A high-end lab is any lab where the computer and software needed to perform the designated function would cost more than $4,000.
