Huyen Nguyen came to A.Q. Miller School of Journalism and Mass Communications in the fall of 2018 as an instructor who teaches data journalism, news design, photography and web design. Huyen first joined the news industry in 2006, after graduating from the journalism department at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Saigon, Vietnam. She was since trained to become a reporter, an editor, a photographer, a news designer and a media researcher.
Huyen earned her Master of Science in Journalism and Master of Art in Media Management from Ohio University and is currently writing her dissertation on the economics of state-run media policies. She was born in Saigon, Vietnam.
