Position Description: The Economist magazine looks for a would-be journalist to spend a summer writing about science and technology for the newspaper in London. A stipend of £2,000 a month will be paid to the successful candidate. Applicants should be prepared to come for an interview in London or New York

Position Description: The International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors offers five paid summer internships at the following newspapers.

Louisville Courier Journal Summer Internships

Position Description: The Courier Journal in Louisville, Kentucky offers a 12-week paid internship at the rate of $500 per week for students who want to hone their news writing and photo/video production skills. Videographer interns should be well versed in Final Cut Pro and video compression with Sorenson. Expertise in web video delivery, including live streaming, is a plus.

Korva Coleman Diversity in Journalism Internship

Position Description: KMUW, a service of Wichita State University has created the Korva Coleman Diversity in Journalism Internship, geared toward training college students of color to be part of the next generation of public radio reporters and newscasters. The Coleman intern will work for 10 weeks beginning May 26, 2020 and be paid a stipend of $5,000. He or she also will receive free room and board. The internship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Loud Light KS Intern

Position Description: Loud Light engages, educates, and empowers leaders from underrepresented populations to build community power that has an impact on decision makers. Loud Light is going to run a voter registration internship for local elections. Over the course of the fall semester and leading up to the November local election, students would become familiar with their local ballot, host 2-3 voter registration events, and do some GOTV work.
