Society of Professional Journalists

Kansas State has a student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, an organization “dedicated to the perpetuation of a free press as the cornerstone of our nation and our liberty.” Founded in 1909, SPJ’s membership includes broadcast, print and online journalists, journalism educators and students interested in journalism careers. SPJ seeks to actively recruit prospective majors from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities to create an all-inclusive group of students.
