K-State Public Relations Student Society of America earns Star Chapter status for third consecutive year

The Kansas State University Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) earned Star Chapter status because of its commitment to excellence during the 2019-2020 academic year. Star Chapter is the nationwide gold standard for Chapters trying to achieve excellence.

K-State PRSSA exceeded expectations in the following categories: quality programming, relationship building with key constituents, high school outreach, focus on ethical practices, attendance at the 2019 International PRSSA Conference, among other criteria.

“Our executive team worked extremely hard for this recognition,” said Danielle LaGree, assistant professor of strategic communications and the Chapter’s faculty adviser. “They are committed to offering exclusive professional opportunities for members so that they are tuned in to industry and its network of PRSA connections.”

K-State PRSSA is a pre-professional society dedicated to offering members the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of public relations and provide access to professional development opportunities. The Chapter hosts bi-monthly meetings throughout the school year, and organizes groups of people to attend career tours as well as other PRSSA and PRSA sponsored events and conferences.
